Parsnip and Erraz had spent all the rest of the evening and most of the night singing and drinking, until neither of them could really stay awake. That dwarven ale they had stashed was especially strong and it had done a good job relaxing them to the point that they had passed out finally.
The night, however, very much was not to go quietly. The twin moons of the world had other plans.. And once the sinister light radiated down from the night sky, it was all too late. Parsnip was awoken to a loud groan of pain.. The snap of bones.. The tearing of flesh and the roaring of a creature far too big for it's flesh yearning to escape. Erraz did all he could to try to control himself.. To stop this, to stop the bloodlust that was building inside of him, the rage and urge to murder and kill and eat whatever was around him. He knew Parsnip was there, and he did everything he could to back off.. To move away from her, so he doesn't hurt his own best friend. However, this could only go on for so long. His physical body was wracked with pain so great he couldn't focus on anything. His mind was flooded with so many foreign thoughts, including thoughts of a demon intent on claiming a new host for her own needs.
This went on for quite a bit, but he ultimately failed. There was no stopping this reduction into nothing more than a feral beast.. However, with good foresight, he was exactly where he needed to be: A cell, specifically made by a curious group of people who admitted that they've dealt with this before, time and again even, as their lands were slowly and steadily destroyed by a demon infestation that had built up over the years. It was a very chance happening that the cage was extraordinarily reinforced to keep the creature from breaking out, but it was nearly not enough at all to keep him in place. He nearly escaped multiple times through sheer strength and force of will, almost killing one of his friends in his blind rage and hatred, unable to stop or control himself anymore.
When this happened, this was probably one of the more emotional nights we had during our campaign. This was merely day 1, there was a long, long road ahead from this point on.
