You can feel it, can't you? That crisp, somehow cool breeze. As you watch it approach, you feel the temperature begin to fall. The air grows ever heavier, and the tension begins to rise. Almost as if the earth itself is getting more and more apprehensive with each breath of wind. You, too, are absorbed into that uneasy feeling. How could you not be? The Storm is coming, after all.
You can hear it, can't you? That rumbling. The kind that resonates inside your own body. As It gets closer, the drone becomes louder, more distinguishable. The distant muffled bass tones are soon overridden by crackles and booms of increasing intensity. You want to cover your ears and guard yourself from the noise, but it is just as beautiful as it is loud. So, perhaps against your best interests, you stand and listen to The Storm's song.
Despite it's power, however, The Storm always passes. Always has, always will. But I worry about what it will do on it's way by, and what will be left after it's gone.
