's second piece for me is more MLP characters, in this case, a pair of griffons, Gilda and Gallus. I'm a fan of avian preds, not as much as equine/cervine, but still, they're a lot of fun too, and wondering how they'd work internally has always been a fun thought experiment. Mind, in MLP griffon's have teeth, and clearly chew their food, something Gallus, orphan of Griffonstone is about to learn about first hand.

This one has no particular inspiration. Heck, these two only have one supposed connection in canon within the show(Gallus mentions Gilda talking about Dash in his first scene, and later says most fledglings were raised by Grampa Gruff, which includes him and Gilda). Got this one shortly before season 9 got going, so his only connection was with the Student 6, though the show eventually gave him ambitions to be a Guard. Meanwhile Gilda seems the closest thing Griffonstone has to a leader, so maybe she's sending him on a special mission. If she notices him at all, and this isn't some kind of spy mission, heh.
