View of the New River in Jacksonville, NC shortly after sunset. This is an HDR image combination of 3 photographs. I was an idiot and forgot to check my ISO settings while shooting these, so I think I had it in 1000 speed, which I'm so slamming my tail in the door for doing....
But it turned out okay, not too much noise....

I was born on that base. The hospital I was born in was converted to the base HQ and then my brothers were born in the newer hospital by the river. I lived there until just before I started Kindergarten and then again for 3 or 4 months at the end of second grade. At one point, 2 of three sets of grandparents, my family, and my aunt and uncle's family all live there.
A program called Photomatix works best. With Photomatix, you take a set of images (usually 3, one properly exposed, one slightly over exposed, and one slightly under exposed) and the program will combine them into an HDR image, and then you go through and "Tone Map" the image to refine the details.
Sorry if I bother you again...I downloaded the program and created the HDR image. However, when I clicked on Tone Map, it did not open the HDR image, but the first of the three base images. And...how do I convert the HDR file into .jpg? Thanks for signaling the program though, it's great^^
That's odd. It should only open up the HDR because you can only tone map an HDR image.
After you've done tone mapping, you should just be able to click File -> Save As, and save it as a .jpg
If that doesn't work, feel free to IM me sometime if you see me online and I'll try to figure it out if I've got the time.
