Well, I'm sure this page will stir up a lot of excitement.
Now, before any of you do or say anything, let me clarify that I am not a Paw Patrol fan. I haven't seen much of the show, and what I have seen I barely remember. When the show came out, I was 11 years old and thought preschool shows were the scum of the Earth; needless to say, I wasn't interested. I'm still not interested now, as I just don't think it's right to watch preschool shows at my age. Don't get me wrong, I think it's perfectly fine for adults to watch kids' shows. It's just not something I feel comfortable doing myself, probably because I'm insecure about my maturity.
The reason I used Paw Patrol here is because I've heard the show is rather light on the educational merit compared to other preschool shows and have even heard claims that the show was made entirely to sell toys, much like the majority of 80s cartoons. (Considering the show is produced by SpinMaster, which is a toy company, that's a fair assumption.) The Super Readers are supposed to get beat out by the Paw Patrol for trying to be educational. This incident produced some of the emotional baggage Red carries, which is why she's so abrasive throughout my story.
Super Why characters belong to DHX Media and Out of the Blue Entertainment.
