During their time fighting alongside Red Dragon and Ahura Mazda in the Elysium Archipelago, the Shadowclaw Sisters were bit by bit learning more of the strange new world, and powerful evil known as Sinister Maharana. One of these new things they learned of, was the strange elements of Aether and Nether. Aether burned away the corruption in one's soul, ultimately destroying those it deems unworthy of wielding the power of the gods. Nether, on the other hand, corrupted and rotted the soul, twisting those tainted into giving into their darker emotions.

In an alternate timeline, the Shadowclaw Sisters were already tainted by the Nether unbeknownst to them! Their thoughts steadily growing more and more reckless, while they wondered how they would help out their cult-turned friend, Red Dragon. In a bid for more power, Beckan would offer themselves to Sinister, to join the cult alongside Red Dragon to remain their guardian but in the end, growing more emotionally strained and twisted all the while.

Beckan, the ever feisty and rash sister, felt her temper flaring at any minor inconvenience or annoyance. Katri, the watchful and stoic sister, would find her focus to becoming extremely obsessive and protective. While Astar, the friendly and studious sister, found herself doubting herself and her worth, worried she would be forgotten in her sister's shadows. A fate unresolved and still haunting the Gates that the sister's protect, even as their mission has changed; To protect Red Dragon and Netherclaw's new family with their life.
