Next installment in the Spireus project- Zif
Referencing the original card, I opted to focus on his tail having a magic calming powder (totally not opium) and emphasized his fluffiness.
I think the yellow is actually part of his eyes, but I chose to turn that into face markings. I cannot get over how goofy the original face looks, oof!

The original looks more scary in the small dog crazy eye stance vibe. The redesign definitely has a totally not opium but comfortable soft vibe that could be like that...spouse once referenced like laying with a bunch of soft, warm lightly peeping baby chicks or snoring ducklings kind of peace. I think what makes it original is its not pollen or a plant/generic powder.
