TBH, Improvising and a ton of not just practice, but also dedication to the art is making you achieve some techniques to be better at art. I also learn them myself (since I can't afford an art course) by watching others, learning tips and styles from other artists by watching them draw or illustrate, and inspiration from your interests can help as well. That's how I do and still, I am learning stuffs for myself until now.
