Bio:
Marshall Mantis has always had a brilliant mind ever since childhood. When he was a kid, he was basically lightyears ahead of all the other kids, and was immediately send to Petropolis University after he finished 5th grade. However, Marshall's scientific career began to take off after attending the annual Petropolis Super Science Extravaganza science fair two years after the Crimson Komodo Clan invaded Kitty's home in Catsville. Because of how creative the experiments were, he was completely in love with science, and only science, and started devoting his time to perfect his scientific genius.
He then discovered that his scientific genius could be used to help protect the innocent when a supervillain called Ze Mole planned to bury Petropolis, and make it the Pet Cemetery City. So, Marshall decided to help TUFF combat this menace, and prove that he can be helpful in crime-fighting. Once he discovered Ze Mole's digging machine, Marshall studied the blueprints very carefully, and eventually found its weak point. After hearing about this, TUFF was able to destroy the machine, arrest Ze Mole, and Marshall was rewarded handsomely by TUFF for helping them bring him in.
Afterwards, Marshall decided to work at TUFF as a scientist for a little while. He then met a female praying mantis, and fell in love with her almost instantly. But, on their first date, Marshall's date loomed towards him, and nearly tried to eat him alive. Marshall was able to escape, but at the cost of getting his left hand munched off by the cannibalistic woman. So, he eventually quit TUFF, and returned to his work of perfecting his scientific mind. However, he was given another opportunity to protect the world when Sgt. Stallion called him, and offered him to come work for him on Team Iron Hoof. Marshall was skeptical at first, but after being explained everything, he accepted Stallion's offer, and became the brains of Team Iron Hoof.
Marshall eventually met Kitty Katswell and the rest of Team Katswell due to a misunderstanding. He assisted Sgt. Stallion and the rest of Team Iron Hoof in bailing Team Katswell out during a typical DOOM run-in, but he had a feeling that they thought they were trying to one-up them like Team Catz did. After explaining Team Katswell's dilemma to Stallion, both teams met up, and had a bit of a squabble. Marshall was able to break it up, and together with Kitty's niece, Shine Ortiz, explained that Team Iron Hoof was trying to help them fight DOOM as well. So, when General Guar tried unleashing a deadly virus on Petropolis, both teams teamed up, and Marshall teamed up with Stan Toucan to disable the machine that would release said virus all over the city. After saving the day, Kitty apologized to Team Iron Hoof, Marshall was recognized again for contributing his scientific mind to fight crime, and he, along with the rest of Team Iron Hoof, became very popular allies to Team Katswell.
Personality & Traits:
Dr. Mantis is basically the most anti-social member of Team Iron Hoof, and would often spend his time working on his scientific genius than with the other members. He has no sense of humor, and he finds his fellow team members to weird for his beliefs. But, when the time is right, Dr. Mantis is willing to offer his brain power to the Team, and is willing to do what's right to protect the world from evil.
He also doesn't like cannibalistic women, as evidenced by the artificial claw in place of his left hand. After that one date, Dr. Mantis refused to date again, and believes that science is his one true love. However, the girls on Team Iron Hoof, Cali, Caroline, and Shine, believe that he's not gonna learn anything about himself if he doesn't connect more with other furries, so they try in vain to find the right girl for him, even if he doesn't want to.
As far as relationships with the rest of the team go, they appreciates Dr. Mantis' work, but they constantly try to pry him from science to see the world around him. Sgt. Stallion himself is a big believer that he can learn so much more about himself if he spends more time with the team instead of his work. But, try as they might, the team's having trouble getting him to interact with them unless it's a mission to help Team Katswell save the world.
Well, that's Dr. Mantis' interpretation for "TUFF: Team Katswell." Hope you like it, Willie!
