*The Operation was supposed to be an easy in and out mission. Sneak in, see what information AEGIS could dig up on Dark, and report back to Director Watson at the CIA. The company had been noticed as operating in some shady areas, and normal surveillance had proved less than successful. June would normally try to keep the Colonels project out of such tasks but after three of her own disappeared concerns were raised. Kepler's agents were some of the best in service, and June wasn't willing to trust the agents at the BoS. Besides their service wasn't necessary as of yet. As far as Junes information was concerned the company was only suspected of dark dealings and cyber crime. She had nothing hard on them as of yet.
After some long debating between the Director, and the Colonel it was agreed that one of his Aegis operatives would attempt to gather information, and find out where Watson’s missing agents were. Out of his pool of operatives Kepler decided to send her. Kerrigan aka Aquajet, former Navy Seal to one of the company's seaside facilities. Aquajet had several years of training and experience in such ops though she was used to leaving the sites as they blew up. This time she was to leave them intact and only operate surveillance. So far things seemed to be going well or, at least rather smoothly. It wasn’t a glamorous job but it was what she signed up for. Aquajet had managed to find a drain system that fed water to the building's generator system. So it looked as if the complex was using the local waterway for power. Aquajet’s Allarium armor suit was holding up well and keeping her hidden from any scanners she came across.
After slipping in through the generator room, Aquajet moved through the halls as quietly as possible. From observation alone Aquajet could sense something wasn't right already. Perhaps it was because she was already in the complexes lower levels away from prying eyes so no one would notice. But she had seen several of the ‘employees’ and their appearance alone worried her. They seemed to be clad in full black jumpsuits? Or something like that all looking almost exactly alike with light blue glowing markings and eyes. Aquajet carefully shadowed several of them to see what they were doing. Staying quiet and to the shadows Aquajet saw many these ‘drones’ working at several terminals running several different diagnostic programs.
She then found an opportunity as one of the terminals a drone was operating at had been left alone with no prying eyes. Seizing the moment Aquajet slipped over to the terminal and hooked up her hud visor to it. “Okay run infiltration program thirty four.” she whispered. The program began to flicker across her visor. Aquajet watched the progress bar intently; her senses hyper focused, waiting to warn if anyone approached. It didn't take long before she was able to slip into the system, and start her data mining. The interface was alien to her, full of confusing protocols with interlocked subroutines that almost seemed redundant. It was like the terminal was coded by a rank ameteur; who left behind junk code as they worked.
It was almost insulting, the network was an absolute chore to sift through. Occasionally she’d stumble on some familiar code reminiscent of the systems the seedy organization Basilisk used. It was difficult to tell if there was any connection between the two this early. The more she dug, the more she felt more..intrigued. There was deceptive depth to the junk code. Designed almost like a work of perspective art: you had to be at the right angle to see through the gaps and find what was really happening. She wanted to dig up as much as she could. Find the evidence Ms. Watson wanted, and make the AEGIS program proud. Her desire to keep digging up information had clouded her senses. Aquajet found her eyes repeatedly scanning over the same line of code. It felt good to read it. Aquajet found her eyes repeatedly scanning over the same line of code. It felt good to read it. She shook her head a little. Her visor wasn’t showing just data anymore. A strange pulse of images was flooding her senses and washing over her. She was doing so well at her job, gathering as much intel as she could find. It felt good to just stare into the program. Dig. keep digging. Keep digging.
She couldn’t realize her legs were moving on their own. The lattice of subroutines casually overloaded her higher brain functions and left her brain as little more than a receiver. She was having a hard time recalling what she was doing here in the first place. Surely it was important, right? There was a flash across her visor, and her posture imperceptibly tightened.. “Run diagnostics on mainframe server T76b. Received.” she cooed in monotone. Aquajet’s movement had purpose after all. Swaying her hips with newfound reasoning, she turned to each server and ran diagnostics like the visor conditioned her to take joy in. Working just like many of the complex’s other drones. It would be another interesting surprise when the complex's owner arrived to do a routine inspection and discovered his newest ‘worker.’ But the surprise would be lost on Worker h234, she was too busy performing diagnostics now.*

Seems the Aegis program may be down an agent for awhile with Aquajet subdued. Hopefully the rest of the team will come to her rescue. So long as no traps are set for them...
