
Well, this was just an attempt to show something a little different. From the Gargoyles fandom, Kanthara is the character of Karine Charlebois (who has dabbled in a bit of furry art) and I owed her a pic for years.
The pose looks a little too, well, posed, but it was a change to try doing a female again, and I liked the way the background turned out (this pic is, like most of my art here, 100% marker-colored). The city-silhouette was a lot easier to do than I expected.

Oooh I just love, love, LOVE her character design. The whole butterfly shaped wings thing is just so freakin' awesome and something you would only usually see with Desdemona/Coldfire.
Oh. Little factoid. Did you know that Kanthara will be doing the artwork for issue #5? No more mediocre artwork from David Hedgecock.
