Jason took a bow, Eruk did the same but Risa didn't care. "What do you want, Jason?"
"Miss Risa," He spoke respectfully, keeping his back straight. "My cohorts and I would
like permission to establish a colony here."
"Didn't I already give you my answer?" Risa nodded her head towards the destroyed
remains of the colony. "Shouldn't you have come to me first?"
"That was the plan," He said, more shame than nervousness entered his voice when
saying that, "But by the time I got the offer, the colony was already being built. By the time I
managed to get here, they glued the door shut."
"Why here? Who wants to live here?"
"It could be a good waystation, a place to rest after a long travel. Or perhaps a penal
colony? Niarb hasn't fully decided-"
"You almost died today," Risa reminded him, "With a bargain like that, are you offering
me a second try?"
Jason swallowed and folded his hands behind him. "If it means the safety of the colony-"
"There will be no colony." Risa reassured him, leaning forward. "And if it wasn't for

It is still going, yes! A bit of a hiatus is happening. The author wrote a whole book, and is 30k words in another actual book. There is going to be a 'Risa's Playdate' coming out next month where she takes a break from Wite and babysits Solace' micen. The reason it's on hiatus is lack of motive and several kinks in how the story will end, but we're ironing those out and hey, this is a lesson in burn out.
