Funny enough, the first detail jumping in my face was the background... I like how you've done those seagulls and the clouds in the blue sky. Very realistic, yet still cartoony enough... it reminds me of ANIME backgrounds!! ^^
Good job!
Oh, and about the scales... I like the parts where you can still see the scales in the shaded, darker parts... but the outlines are barely visible or even highlighted with a small, thin, red line. This looks very gooooood! It gives the scales a very natural texture.
And I love how the glasses are attached to his horns... that's also very believable!

By the way... coming to think of it... in this final version the sunglasses look quite cool and I am thinking... what if we could NOT SEE his eye at all??
What if there was only glass OR what if there was a dark shade (cast by the sunglasses)?
We would have a totally cool look on his face like "Yeah, I am so cool!"

Maybe, if you have time, you try this?
Try to hide the eye behind a shade so we see only the glasses... that might do the trick!
Or would you put a black shade on the eye (caused by the glasses) with a lower opacity?
I am curious... would you try that for me?

I should be kinda grateful that I didn´t show Orion totally on full body because working with each piece of scale in both lineart and also the thin brighty light was eternal to do with, but it gives a good texture and almost 3D impression to the body : D
Man, my wish to go back to the beach is almost reflected in this pic though >w< it´s been a while since I took a break there. So instead of my going I let Orion take a good break for me. At least interacting with the beach indirectly satisfied me XD
