And the race was over. In the end Wave somehow managed to come out on top. She had battled with Tsu towards the end of the track, whom herself was one tough cookie, but with the swallows trickery, managed to slip by her at the last second, and take the gold. That left Tails coming in third, filling up the three winning spots. Blur managed to find her way to the finish line on foot, limping along with her board slung under her arm, until she was spotted by her teammates and given assistance. But, as soon as she saw that swallow wallowing in her victory, it was as if she had gathered newfound energy, and made a beeline right towards her.

“You!” she screamed. “You damn cheat!”

Wave turned around to see what the fuss was about, and smirked when she saw it was the hedgehog she sent flying earlier. “Ah, it’s the newblet. Did you have a nice trip earlier?” And with that she cackled at her. Brittney gritted her teeth until an audible growl could be heard from her, just before she was caught by her friends while lunging at the Babylonian, only to have her laugh some more. “All is fair in love and Riding. It’s not my fault you can’t handle your board. But honestly, if you can’t ride, you shouldn’t be in the tournament.”

And with that, she walked off towards her team. Meanwhile, Blur was literally dragged away, kicking and screaming... before realizing her injuries, that made sure she knew they were present, and shrieking out in pain. And the next destination was the first aid booth.
