I honestly have a lack of knowledge with the Kanji Characters, though putting her name into a translator came up with 野澤綾米 I don't know if this is the proper characters, but I hope it is.
The mix of cultures is mostly because she's more of a 'fantasy' Sohei, and fantasy often mixes past Asian cultures into one and mixes in the best of what they had.

Ayami Sohei could use this name: 僧兵 文美 (Sohei Ayami). I speak and read Mandarin Chinese so I can read 95% of Japanese Kanji.
僧兵 = Sohei (warrior monk)
文美 = Ayami (lit. means 'beautiful/elegant writing')
Regardless, I really like her name. It's easy and rolls off the tongue well!
