Aaaand here's Rendal's True face. He was a Zacian in his previous life ;P

And As I promised here's his Backstory:

Born as a bastard son to a King. He served part of the knighthood when he became of age. Though eventually he was betrayed by the Royalty and kingdom and was banished quite possibly due to People figuring out he was the bastard son of the King and wasn't considered a Rightful heir.

Rendal decided he was for the people, rather than the kingdom. Throwing away his loyalties to said kingdom and served the people as a Dark Knight. He was a Knight for Hire, though if he could sense that the people who hired him were too poor to dole out the fee, he'd wave the fee and let it go for free.

One day he was with an ally on a mission, during the night he was killed by his own blade by his Ally killing him. Said ally thought he was the corrupt Prince who on in the public seemed nice, but in the shadows he plotted to rule as a tyrant. The Prince and Rendal look very much alike, and the Prince took advantage of this and fooled his would-be assassins to think that Rendal's Actions were his own.

Due to the fact he was slain by his own blade He Reincarnated into A Honedge after death. And over time he fully manifested as a Shiny Aegislash, resembling only a shade of his former self.
