Was that actually forged from composite steel?

It's made of damascus, composed from an 1.2842 hight carbonsteel and 1.5634 a hight nickelsteel.

I thought so. Um, how did you procure such material? And do you often forge equipment like this?

I make the Damascus by my self, the basis steels i buy from an industrial shop for steel and metalwork in Germany. Yes i make often thinks like that: www.historia-vivus.zeus.lu, just see in the categories "schmieden and damast" Sorry but its wrote in German, because most of our clients are from Germany, but i come from Luxembourg.

When I have the funding for it, I'm looking to have a zweihander made. For now though, it may not be for a long time before I have the necessary means to commission such work.

Yes that is something special, for that i would advice you cold steel, they make pretty good thinks for lower money

That have to be one of the most beautful spearheads I've ever seen. Te onely thing would be the shaft funnel (or what to call it in english...) but all in all a wonderful piece.
