Born unto a peaceful tribe,
burned to the ground and left for dead,
Fire all around, my family departed,
left behind was the Phoenix blade,
training and learning came,
prepare for the battles to come,
they descend from all around,
Mortal Phoenix shines.A new song I recently completed. Thanks very much to
tsaiwolf for creating the official image which you can see *Here*Quite a few changes I ended up doing in this one, to try and capture the story behind it.

Basically short version goes as follows:
Ark is born into a peaceful society of what used to be a powerful caste of warriors known as the Phoenix Crusaders
Life is good, peaceful etc until a rival tribe of avians attacks, burning the village to the ground and slaying Ark's family
Ark Watches this destruction from the bushes, later finds his family's remains, and also find's the Phoenix Blade
He takes the blade in hand and flees to the mountains where he finds himself taken in by a tribe of peaceful otters whom live in a hotsprings area deep in the mountain range, safe from would be predators, or so they think.
Ark trains and grows up strong, and one day a roaming tribe of wolves attacks his surrogate family, but he swoops in, saves the day, fights the wolves, slaying the leader as the Phoenix Blade ignites (glows) accepting him as its wielder.
A moment of silence passes for mourning the loss of the fallen members of the tribe (some do die during the conflict) and then he looks forward, tightening his grip on the blade, and moves forward with life, stronger and with a purpose.

How... Seriously, I'm beginning to think I should stop listening to your music. I've started spacing out and just closing my eyes to listen. Hell, I irritated my boss for listening to your music and not him. Okay, I THINK I irritated him. I get the feeling he was also litening to it...
But seriously, I can only think of one word to describe your music and talent: Wow

I've always liked phoenixes, and this is a good tribute to them. I think you should (at least for my taste as a filmmaker) post the story description behind pieces like this in the header, because your music is clearly telling stories. I enjoyed it, especially when the wolves attack and he mourns the loss after.
Another great work from you. One thing, though, that bothered me, and it's probably really nitpicky of me, but the choir towards the end (around 5 minutes in or so) sounded a bit too shrill. I think the choir would have meshed better if it didn't have the octave doubling; if you were looking for that high pitch to double the line, I would have gone with a piccolo.
Fantastic blend of the piano with the choir voices!
Many different shades of mood, ever-changing, yet stays to the the principal of, "Epic", great work!
I just bought a Fantom X8, and I'm slowly finding out more and more tricks to the trade.. anyway, your music is always inspiring, and this piece succeeds in evoking all feelings that could have possibly been meant to be evoked.
Great work Fox!

First of all let me say this is purely fantastic. I am truly amazed at the skill and musicianship behind this piece. My only question is this... How are you able to get such rich and "real" sounding instruments? If you're using midi, I'm just thoroughly baffled at how they sound so good.
