So, this is me on a typical day on the ocean. Wind in my fur, sea spray on my tongue, and of course, the numerous demands of safe watchstanding and keeping a ship at sea on route and accomplishing many things in the course of four hours. Quartermasters plotting our course, salty Boatswains keeping the time for the ship and lending some advice about one matter or another. The sort of wisdom bestowed by sea and leadership, from the mouth of sailors as young as 19, who know precisely what is required to keep an orderly watch and a tight ship, and do their best to keep the bridge clean and the lookouts awake.
