So yesterday after my mom and I had gone out for breakfast, we noticed a large group of baby ducklings running across a parking lot, and out to into the highway. Luckily, none got ran over, but all proceeded to run (waddle, rather) to a CVS parking lot. I convinced my mom to go there and we began chasing them and trying to catch them, in the end, I was only able to catch one of them. The others were just too fast for me and they were impossible to get to when they hid in the hedges. So this little guy took a journey with me to the local bird sanctuary where he would have a much better home and be among other little orphan ducklings. Yes, I tried to convince my mom to keep him. No, it didn't work.
I named him Quatro because he had four dots on his back. This little guy fell in love with me. He let me hold him and pet him and he just snuggled in my hand and occasionally nibble on my finger or nudge his head under my finger for comfort. He trusted me more than anyone and the only way he would relax is if I was holding him. He was so adorable.
In the photo is my friend Breanna's hands. That is my little bundle of love who I will miss, though, I am happy to know that he is in good care.
