My first Pogo sketch with the iPad Pro and the Pencil. There are some things I don't like about this picture but they're all about me misjudging shapes. Pogo's got a bit more tummy than he really should have just to check whether it's raining. As far as line weight goes, though, I think everything's just about dead on. I think I also nailed my generic hand pose, an isometric perspective on the thumb held perpendicular to three fingers clutched together, came out great.
I am coming near the end of Ten Ever-Lovin' Blue-Eyed Years With Pogo, which presents the question of what to start copying next. I might go back around to the start of the book and pictures that I'd only ever copied on paper. There's other Walt Kelly books I have, too, including one that's a collection of fairy tales and fairy-tale-adjacent stories he'd drawn and that could get me some needed diversity in character shapes and poses. Might also just do a deep dive into Harvey Comics since I have really quite a lot of those too.
Original art is right out, of course, for the obvious reason that I don't know how to do it.
