Actually, it is canon - sort of. I'm "canon-welding" the novel to Roz's series. That required some changes, but overall some pretty minor ones. (And some of Roz's reveals actually boosted the novel's plotlines and consistency substantially).

And yeah, Tirr's a monster. She's basically a griffinish liger, half Aera White-Shoulders, half Gygia White-Head, and bigger than either of them.

So what does she want to do for a living? Strap on a pair of jet engines and race with a bunch of streamlined pointed-wings. They didn't nickname her the "Flying Brick Sh*thouse" on the EX1 circuit for nothing.

Doesn't bother Tirr in the least. She lets her presence on the podium after the race be all the revenge she could ever ask for!

I did wonder about the get-up myself, but rolled with it. Pigeon Rallies would be an acceptable stand-in for soccer. ^.^
