You're welcome!
I think the biggest thing would be the hair above the ears. In the sequel trilogy that whole section is almost completely shaved off, probably to maintain the forehead profile he had in HL1 back when he had the ponytail and the two loose strands on each side, whereas here it seems to all be equal length strands while still keeping the shorter hair from HL2.

Ah, I got you! Thank you for the input. Love getting feedback like this.
I kind of was going for a different look altogether with this, but it's really great getting different opinions. Definitely good points and something to look out for in future work. Gotta keep the character looking recognizable, after all. (First time drawing him so I'm gonna work on it!)
Thanks again, man!

Gordon Freeman! It's good to see you.
I loved showing up for work in the game and being greeted like that. I never get that at work, I may try it on someone today.
Nice pic. I don't dislike the hair at all. Looks like he has been through a lot and we know he has.

The intro to Half-Life is still one of the best in gaming history, imo. The way it gets the player acquainted with their surroundings and in Gordon's shoes really sets the whole thing in motion. It was anything but an ordinary day at work...
And thank you! It's always great to get differing opinions and perspectives on things. ^^

A-greed. There was simply nothing else like it up to that point in history, they did it again in Blue Shift which was nice. If you wanted to reminisce a little, there is a nice homage to it in the beginning of the Portal 2 mod "Portal Stories : Mel" as you show up for work at Aperture Labs. The voice of Cave Johnson is not at all like the soothing voice in the Half Life tram. And that is ok, it's well done, funny and free.
