I realized like almost a year late that I never finished Inktober last year. OOPS. In my defense, a lot of stuff in my life exploded last fall... anyway. Uhhhh I felt like playing with pens so I guess I'mma get back on that prompt list...
The prompt for this one was "Wild" and my brain went
"SEINE WILDE ROSE BLÜHT NICHT MEEEEEHR" which is an interesting take on the prompt but ok muse, we'll roll with it.
So instead of letting Lunari take over my sketchbook I decided to design a different Silivar! She's based on a wild rose, namely a dog rose because they're pretty. She's also based on this song, kinda: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI402Owwi3s
This is why she is kind of sad/sorrowful looking; my German is um, bad, actually, but the chorus roughly translates to "Woe, woe, my heart is full of sorrow; Gone forever my lover is; His wild rose blooms no more." (The song is interesting in some other nerdy ways but I won't go into that unless asked lol)
This was also an experiment with watercolor pencils. If anyone asks, I did not tell you that the correct way to use them is to dip them in water, smear 'em around, and blend with a wet q-tip. On completely inappropriate sketchbook paper. Because it's completely the wrong way you're supposed to use them. But it did yield some interesting results...
