I saw Etuix's recent piece with this character and I wanted to ask (on one in your gallery): what's the adornment on his horn? Purely decorative? Magic radio? Did his horn get chipped or something at the same time as when he lost his leg and this "stabilizes" his magic?
None of the Above. If you are a Ham, you would see a small j-pole attached to the horn. this is for radio reception, the thing in his hand is a hand held ham radio. we call them handy-talkies, and the symbol on the shirt is that of the ARRL, which manages the Amateur Radio hobby. (grins) I guess you could say Magic Radio. but it's not magic, and hams live all over the world. it's amazing whom have been hams. it has no class division. kings and commoners have both been and in case still is a ham. Rich and Poor are all hams. The previous King of Jordan was a Ham. he loved just listening to his subjects talk. the King of Spain may be a ham, I have to research that more. Joe Walsh of the Eagles has a radio shack full of radios. there are others, Dear Departed Neal Pert of Rush was a ham.
