two of our new NCOs teach us about the proper use of the M16A2 semi-automatic rifle. taught us how to properly disassemble and reassemble it; how to properly clear it; how to perform S.P.O.R.T.S if faced with a malfunction; and perform a function check to see it'll work properly.

for people who don't know what SPORTS means, here's a little lesson:
1 S- Slap the magazine
2 P- Pull the charging handle back
3 O- Observe the chamber
4 R- Release the charging handle
5 T- Tap the forward release
6 S- Squeeze the trigger



the training was good and in depth, the sergeants even tested out each one of us to make sure we know. I really didn't need to be here I am a M249 gunner, and I am a qualified Sharpshooter on the M16A2 (was going to be Expert but a damn Boar took away my last shots ><)

Monday and Tuesday is our Range for the M16A2 so this class was also the units PMI and was manditory for everyone,
