"I was just thinking." The Astro then said.
His owner looked up from his objective and walked over to the van.
"What about, 'bud?" He asks.
"Oh...nothing… It was stupid anyway." The Astro quickly says with a sigh.
"Is there something bugging your engine?" His owner asks again.
The Astro lowered down, remembering the thought that had lingered in its engine. A sad whine was all it emitted.
"What's the matter?" Its owner says softly.
"I'm just...well...worried."
"Worried about what?"
"Like if I...broke down or... Uhhh..."
"You run fine like a fettle. You don't need to be worrin' about that stuff." Its owner said.
"But what if..." The Astro said. "You'd probably send me off to be desenti—"
"Don't say that!" Its owner urgently interrupted. "I would NEVER even think of doing that!"
"Well, I wouldn't blame you if you did. Silly old me has had—"
"Mate..." Its owner said. "I would do anything to make you better if it ever came to that."
The Astro looked up at its owner, who was smiling happily back at it
"You...would?" It replied quietly.
"You mean more to me than anything in the world." Its owner said. "If I hadn't of had someone like you in my life, I'd be lonely, miserable, and unhappy. You're a great little van, and don't you ever forget that."
The Astro shuffled closer to its owner, leaning in slightly against him. Its owner chuckled in response and began rubbing his body gently.
"You're the best owner I could ever have." His Astro said happily.

Some ole' work from 2018, but I thought I'd add it so there's some more stuff to see in my gallery. Also revised the story a little.
