Heya guys.
Before, I wanna thanks truly all my last commissioners for their extreme patience. 5 months to finish all my commissions was really a shame for me...
I have gots few problems IRL, with family and this fucking virus and lockdown which was extreml depressing...
Stay at home is not really a problmes for an artist/designer, but for me that was really tiring, stressing, boring and depressing...
But the worst error from me was to accept 16 commissions in same time...in begining I was extremly motivated but after few wrrks with the virus, that was absolutly impossible to concentrate...reason I have given GIFTs for the 8 last commissioners after lock down in France (11th May) for their big patience....

So now for futur I gonna do few changes.
-The first change, it is useless to ask me to reserv a slot. I will only take commission 4 per 4, and if you are not in the first group, you will be in the next.
-The second change is, I will continue to take money BEFORE begin the work HOWEVER, I will take money only when I'm sure to begin the work. My IRL is sometimes chaotic, so I prefer take money when I feel ready.
-And the last change, is I will do few YCH during the summer, for fun, but I stop "normal" commissions until september I think. I have to think about my profesional projects with drawing, and I don't really need money currently.
Of course as always I will do announcement when my commissions will be open , with a journal + a special pic and a specifique date.
So don't worry, you will be warned for the next session.
I do those changes because I have not been serious with my last commissioners, and I don't want people think I'm a crook.
Hope you will understand those changes.

This sounds like a fantastic system to meee ^^ keeps the work relatively low and lets you take breaks as needed from coms, and not feel pressured about anything but one com at a time. I fully support this system! (even if it might be hard to nail a slot with only 4 open at a time >//>;)
Sounds good to me! I know plenty of artists who have gotten commission burnout from taking on more than they could chew. Makes sense to keep it down to four. Also taking money only before you are ready to go should keep you from feeling like you are working for money you already spent. All very logical. Hope I can snag a commission slot when you open them up in September. And I'll keep my eyes out for those YCHs. Hope they include your dryad gals; they are amazing!
Yeah, and with lock down in France I have been totally unable to draw during 2 months...to much stress and too much responsabilities.
For YCH I will continue to take money before, because YCH are my creation, so it is more easy to work on, compared to a commission I have to imagine and create totally for each person^^.

That looks reasonable, everyone has his/hers pace to do things and with whats going on all arround it's best to stay safe and do what ya can. Specially what looks where are going in for a second wave so back staying at home perhaps.
Also good to swtich things up between projects to keep the boredome out of it.

So far it seems there are more red zones in spain but better prepared now then later. Hope you stocked up on toilet paper :p
Hmmm well you have to split things now and then , can't like bunker up and commit to one thing, thats not healthy. Some people can and it's amazing but at what cost?? Just do what ya can when it's going well for ya.
