I had to split Chapter 28 into two chapters when I posted it on another of the sites I'm a member of because of the length. Since I didn't want to cut and past Chapter 29 out of place, I decided to just edit this page so it'll show up properly.

We return to Catlanna and visit with the men that Michael knows well and their wives. Both groups enjoy lunch together once a month. The men go through a routine to remind their wives of the monthly luncheon.
Michael offers to buy dinner for Zig, Sabrina, and Sheila. They decide to visit "The Golden Panda" and meet Jinse Xiongmao. Later, after Jinse closes the restaurant, the group visits a local bar and grill called "The Caribou".

Helluva cool 'Cameo(s)' of Zig and 'Crew'! I've often wondered at doing such a thing. Do you need to get the original Artist/Writers' permission for a 'Fan Fic' piece?
It's great to see Michael talking with Amanda about her Mother, and presenting his perspective(s) on why she's being do stubborn/racist/judgemental to her daughter. I've known so many parents who took their own shortcomings out on their kids (Esp. regarding sports/education). I've never been (and never will be) a Parent, so can't speak from personal experience of raising a human child into adolescence and then young adult/adulthood, but even as a kid I recognized that people can have their own dreams and ambitions, even in spite of what their parents may want.
I have/do 'Nanny/Babysit/Be-the-only-adult-present where teenagers are at the residence' type of person, however. It's a delicate dance at times, hearing what they have to say about what their parents are demanding of them. I can't speak against it, but merely offering an outsider's opinion and making positive suggestions on what they might do, often helps.
At some point the parents have to step-back and 'Let go,' allowing their prodigy to venture into the world and make their way.
Again, I'm in no way computer savvy person, but even I remember early technology being so damned expensive, and when you look back at their 'Capacity/Speed/Features' now, it's nearly laughable! One thing I DID learn, young (Like, during the time in the military, when 'Personal Computers' actually hit the market), I just stayed the hell away from them, knowing the advancement would start to compound/become exponential. Take gaming consoles for instance? I NEVER buy 'New/Just-released-to-the-market.' Why? My last (two!) PS4's I bought years after they appeared, and including a game (or more than one), I saved hundreds of $$$'s out of my own pocket. (Also has the benefit of not falling for new games and any of the shortcomings/lies the Developers make to get sales out of the gate. Problems (And their solutions) are usually ironed out or made easily known, for a better gaming experience. Take 'Skyrim' for instance? Likely my most-favorite game universe of all time (Though NOT a fan of the open world, online version. Too cartoonish/crowded for my preferences). All the 'Mods' that have been created for this game? Holy moley! Take the 'Vanilla' game, add mods, and it's a WHOLE new thing, practically!
Sorry, got off on a tangent.
'Bony Fingers!' I KNOW that Song! lol
*ahems*
I sorta already talked about the growing relationship between Michael and Amanda (Ref. Ch. 22 replies), so that cut out most of what I had written for this one. whoopsies!
So, leaving this here, and moving-ahead with the stuffs I've got written/not chatted about yet!

I contacted Max Blackrabbit about using Zig in my story. His response was it was all right as long as I kept her in character and didn't put her into any situation that made her look bad. I'm guessing he was referring to drug use, killing someone, that kind of thing. I assured him that I was going to use Eric W. Schwartz' version of her and would comply with that Zig Zag and he was satisfied. Just to be sure he approved of her, I sent him a copy of the chapter for him to read. He never told me to change anything so I guess it was okay with him. Sabrina and Sheila, on the other hand, I asked for permission from EWS, waited a couple of months and never was told to not use them. Plus, I read somewhere on his profile that he didn't mind using them as long as the usage wasn't detrimental to their character. If he decides that he doesn't want me to use them, I guess I'll just have to change the characters to my own.
Yes, I wanted Michael to be an outsider viewing the goings-on between Amanda and Ophelia. Like you, I've never been a parent (never had the opportunity) but, I've been an outsider looking in and experienced a mild form of the treatment that Ophelia gives to Amanda. That's how I can make Michael understanding of what Amanda's going through.
I'm glad you got the reference to "Bony Fingers". You're the first person who caught it. When Hoyt Axton released that song, it immediately became my favorite. The reference is another of my inside jokes.
I'm not a computer gamer. In fact, the only computer games I play are word games. I haven't played it in a while but my favorite used to be "Bookworm". I also like "Text Twist". Shoot 'em ups never really caught my attention.
I didn't buy my first PC until the mid or late-1990s. I had the misfortune of dealing with Microsoft software and all the problems that came from it and the necessity of purchasing anti-virus software since virus writers could exploit the shortcomings of Microsoft to cause no end of mischief. I've never understood why someone would want to destroy someone else's computer for the fun of it.
I know I haven't responded to your previous comments but I will. I've been kind of busy doing other things like working. However, I'll get on replying to them ASAP.

Please never feel any sense of obligation/rush to respond!
My life is either an example of too hectic, or too much time on my hands (Yet another wonderful Song), and I tend to take things accordingly. Sometime I'll have many hours or even days to indulge my own interests/hobbies, and then have to set them all aside to handle something that's come up.
Such is life!
I've greatly enjoy our back-and-forth chatting, and realize 'I' am but one person intruding on your own life/time available, so please know that I never expect a fast reply!
Take good care of yourself and your responsibilities. I'm happy to wait until you find the time to continue our dialogue!
