Random City ID - Etrian Kalistar
With this, Etrian has scratched off another city he has visited and lived in, one that is very intriguing in how much of a Random City it is!
Awesome little piece done by the one and only

Nope, it's very much a setting in ImpXimon's own superhero setting! You should check it out, though there is some kinky stuff to be found in his gallery. You have been warned. ;P
Yeah, after looking through the records I had made of Etrian, 5'8" was his original height before he became a hybrid. I had pondered making him taller in his Valgarian form, but decided against it for the sheer fact of the transformation between forms being fairly painful already, so there's no real need to add on the bones shifting around to make him taller as well. That's the same reason why John is the same height(kinda) between his human and Valgarian hybrid forms. Of course, this fact does make a few past art pieces a bit hilarious, with one particular between Etrian and
Starlightwyvern's Mortimer Graves posing together(which I believe I showed you in private before). They're about the same height in that image, not counting Mortimer's pointy standing-straight ears, but in reality Etrian is 5'8"...and Mortimer is 6'3". XD

Turns out I've already seen his gallery. xD But thanks for the warning anyway.
Why does the transformation even need to be painful, though? Is there a reason for that? I've seen other similar-like transformations that aren't painful... Part of me wants to encourage that you make Etrian's Valgarian form taller because, again, he simply looks like he would be.
*However*... Roger would love it if he and Etrian were the same height, because that means that if Etrian says yes to a little make-out session, they'd be able to press themselves right up to each other without having one of them stand on tiptoes or something (Roger's favorite kiss involves pressing up his chest, belly and groin to his partner ).

Oh, well, that's good. XD
Because the body is transforming? Bones being shifted about, various things extend and grow, such as the snout and a tail that were not there before, teeth change shape, flesh is covered by scales, and biologically he's becoming something completely different. It's also worth mentioning that he's a human based Valgarian hybrid, while full Valgarians with other forms do not suffer from this changing pain since it's part of them from birth, whereas in the case of Etrian it is something that he turned into from DNA entering his body and rewriting his genetic and molecular coding to make him a hybrid. So yeah.
I do understand that, but at the same time it would not fit the idea of Valgarians as a whole, as they are about the same size as humans if a little bit on the taller side. Closer to 6 feet, I mean. And it certainly wouldn't work for Etrian in various aspects. His money would be blown constantly on having to get outfits repaired as he does shift between forms while wearing things, and his wardrobe would be filled of various clothing of various sizes. So all in all, his size shifting would not make sense.
There's also the fact that he is not of divine status, nature, or anything of that sort in his Valgarian form. For example, referring to Mortimer again, that's him as his base Avatar of Anubis, which is 6'3". But that's the size he's at when he's in that form, his real appearance is shorter. He gets taller in the appearance of Mortimer Graves because of his bloodline connection to the deity he is the Avatar of. You can also see this in Cirius or Sky Guardian, my Avatar of Horus, between his normal appearance and his Avatar form. Etrian does not have this particular trait of transformation to him, so no, he does not get bigger in his Valgarian form.
But yeah, though Etrian can make it work to do that kind of stuff with anyone of any height, but it is usually best to have someone your own height for make-out sessions and those parts of Roger's favorite type of kissing. ;P
