The Afterlife of Taeythia
Two Afterlifes exist for the people of Taeythia. Ones who live lives worthy of paradise will be taken to Asheomora, The Grand Haven, to live in eternal bliss. Those who do not pass judgement shall have their souls given to the Circles of Hell, The Grim Domain, ruled by Molvarod. The Job of judging the souls of the deceased falls to Khavenar, and his Eyes of judgement.
Khavenar - While his appearance is considered the most frightening of the gods, being s robed Skeletal figure akin to a Lich, he is not truly evil or fearsome. HE sees the beauty in death, considering it a necessity for life to go on, and is even-handed and just in his judgements. His eerie black eyes are ableto see every soul's lifespan at once, allowing him to know when his children must be sent forth. Furtherore, upon a soul being brought before them, his eyes allow him to see the whole of a soul's previous life, and judge the soul to Asheomora or Hell. Upon arrival in hel, their fate is handed to Molvarod, who will further determine which circle they belong to. Those who in life pledged their souls to a demon will immediately be sent without judgement to Hell, even if their motives were pure. Furthermore, the undead who's unlife meets a true end remain at Khavenar's court, his servants for eternity.
The Twin Reapers of Taeytha - Siblings fathered by the God of death himself, Khavenar, Iusan and Vlena exist to ferry the dead to their eternal rest. They were created by Khavenar for this purpose as he found the afterlife rather dull, and desired companions to make his work much more interesting. They are loyal to their father, and each genuinely loves their sibling. It's said that they can be reasoned with to let one live a little longer, usually through convincing them to allow ones affairs to be in order before they pass. However, those who turn to Undeath to preserve their lives disgust the twins, as they see it as a cowardly action. It's rumoured that if one earns their respect enough, they can grant extra life to their would-be targets, possibly even the world's only true immortality.
Vlena - The Reaper of a Peaceful passing, Also knwon as the Reaper of Innocence. She most appears to those who die of natural causes, whether it be age or illness, as well as those of truly innocent souls. She is also known to appear to those who die heroically, comforting them in their final moments. Taking the form of a beautiful young woman clad in white robes with angelic wings, and carrying a wine cask at her side, Vlena is truly a radiant sight. She speaks with a calm, melodic voice and is the most likely to allow one time to wrap up whatever business one may have. She claims her souls through a gentle touch, a kiss, or an embrace, and carries her cask of wine for those who desire a final drink in their dying moments.
Iusan - The Reaper of Regretful passing. Also knwon as the Reaper of the Guilty. He appears to those who die in regret, or are taken before their time through foul play or war. Though he mostly appears to those of black hearts and guilty souls. Furthermore, he personally slays any who attempt to escape their fate without challenging himself, his sister, or his father. Taking the form of a young man, clad in black with black angel wings, a hood covering his pale visage, and eyes glowing red beneath his hood, he speaks much more plainly, his tone based on the soul he comes to claim. For those taken before their time, he'll appear more jovial and jokey. To those who die in regret, he is more somber. To those who offend him, or try to flee their fate, he becomes more crude and enraged. Should one attempt to flee their fate, he takes the formed of a winged beast and will ruthlessly tear their soul from their body. Otherwise he will claim one's soul with his sycthe. While harder to engotiate with than his sister, it's claimed that one can potentially buy enough time from him to turn one's life around.
