I've been playing SoulSilver lately. A lot. So this has been stuck in my head all day and I threw in Korg DS-10 and got to work with only my memory as a reference.
It... really didn't come out as well as I wanted, and Korg refuses to save anything I make, so, f*ck.
EDIT: Also, I did the fading out in Audacity. Korg can't do that... I think.

You can always move the volume slider down in the mixer if you are playing live and with one sample playing. Or you can always decrease the volume gradually in the sequencer, but then again you only get 16 patterns.
So Audacity is probably the best option. It's what I sometimes do.
