"You're supposed to be red." said the artist to the dragon on her page. "Red like the blood in my viens, Like the hot burners of on the stove top turned on, red like the colors of war, love, emotions on high, the sun. You'll never stick out from the sky when you're flying through it."
"I will be blue." The dragon drawing said quite simply with it's unblinking eyes staring right at the artist. Watching her every move with the pride and utmost attention of a cat.
The artist blinked and stared at her sketch. She had disagreeable creations before, but normally she managed to reason with them. This one was just plane stuburn! No matter, the artist thought as she addressed what needed to be done with the under painting. She would sneak the crimson and rosy colors past this little argumentative piece of.... art.
The artist was just about to dip her brush into the red water color when the dragon drawing stopped her. "I told you I want to be blue."
The artist shook her head and sighed. Those eyes on the dragon. She should have drawn them closed. "you're telling me you don't want to be hot, like red fire?" the artist said as she tried convincing her work.
The dragon drawing shook it's head. "Ahh but blue is closer to the center of every flame."
This sale is for one 2.5" by 3.5 inch original art card painted on smooth Bristol paper. I started out with a inked drawing on the card, then I filled in some areas with prismacolored markers, and used water color for the shading. Lastly I filled in some details with white acrylic ink.
This card was quickly sold however if you're interested in cards like it, please check out my etsy http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.ph.....ng_id=43600449 or talk to me here on DA.
Thank you.
