Halloween is best holiday. I've been thinking... if Christmas is allowed to creep further and further into November and even October now (and back when Kmart was a thing, I was in the local one and they had Christmas crap out and Christmas music playing in late *September* one year) I might start seeing if I can claim more of the calendar for Halloween...
I dressed up when I was young, of course, but not really as an adult--just never really had an opportunity, you know? It's kinda pointless to dress up and then sit at home doing nothing anyways.
As for the "Inktober" stuff, I haven't done any of those challenges either but for different reasons, namely that a lot of my "current" art posting on sites like DA is often a month (or more!) older by the time I post it--I'll have bursts of productivity, and schedule one thing to post per day. What I'm saying is, I'll probably have to start work on Halloween 2020 art next week lmao. Not that it's ever actually a *bad* time to draw spooky shit and witches and monsters and zombies and all--it just gets more attention in October. Maybe I need to stop being so boring and find one of those "Goretober" lists and start murdering some of my characters... and in November I'll just gather the Dragon Balls and wish them all back, like it never happened!

FOR REAL I remember when Christmas started the day after Thanksgiving and that was totally fine by me but when I'm seeing Santa Claus before I'm seeing pumpkins and ghosts, I take that as a personal slight. October belongs to Halloween and Santa needs to GTFO.
I've seen some of those challenge lists in the past and I'll see like three or four themes I would really *want* to draw, and a bunch that are "meh, whatever" but then there's always a couple that I would have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how to draw, and then there's always *The One* that I just don't like at all. I love seeing what people come up with for those things, though, and if you're not already in the habit of drawing (almost) every single day, that can be a good motivator and good practice!
