I think the reason people apologize to Arachnophobes when they post art of arachnids is because those images can often be reasonably assumed to be real spiders, when viewed from afar on a phone. If someone were say, checking their FA, to see the newest posts by their favorite artist here and see a thumbnail with a spider like this drawn in realistic detail, it could trigger their fear.
Whereas, viewing a dog on a phone screen won't convince anyone that a dog is actually in front of them.
That said I an afraid of both dogs and moths irl lol
