Well, I am quite a long term fan of Guild Wars games, started with the first one when I was in high school, still playing to Guild Wars 2 and having my own female Charr =3

Nice! I wish I had known about Guild Wars 1 when it came out, it sounds fantastic from everything I've heard about it! I'd love to try it someday, but so hard to find the time. Really cool you've played both, I always think it must be a cool experience to have played through the lore in both games!

Well the first Guild Wars is really time consuming, and ever more today as there are way less people playing to it. We had a small guild of ~10 persons and we were online for hours for one mission or dungeon only. The game is not really dynamic as we know today with other games but it permits a lot on build and gears etc.
Guild Wars 2 is clearly way more casual gaming, nothing really difficult, you just take the most efficient build for your class and go do PVE or PVP without real challenge. The challenges are on fractales and raids that has been added sadly too late in the game to create a real enthusiasm from players.
I'm staying in Guild Wars 2 because of the lore, exactly what you said in your answer. The continuity of the lore between both games is really pleasant.

This is exactly why I wanna make a charr ele. They don't like mages but being both a strong and big warrior race + a savant magical chad is just epic.
