Vertigo City is made up of many highrise buildings connected by "skywalks". Each skywalk - represented here by a solid black line - is a large glass tube with a walkway through the center, allowing access from one building to another without having to go to ground level. Each building generally rises about 10 stories above skywalk level and 10 below. Levels under this are locked down, and access is not allowed; therefore, no one in Vertigo has ever seen what lies below this leven, nor what exists at ground level.

The buildings are seperated into 'blocks', each block dedicated to on purpose. Vanity Fair is the market area, Clubland is where most clubs, bars, and parlors care found, and the themed area is reserved for more fetish-specific playspaces. Soho is a seedier block, inhabited by more extreme thrill seekers. Sadits and rapists wander here, as do their willing victims. The only recognized snuff bar takes up one of the area's lowest levels. There is also a block reserved for residences, although many of Vertigo's "hearts" simply sleep where they fall, be it at a table or in a skywalk.
