Thanks! I know a lot of art like this tends to just leave the tail exposed, and it's fine in fantasy art, but it's definitely not realistic.
From what I've learned the past couple years (mostly as a result of people discussing that scene in "The Last Jedi"[/i], the risk of freezing to death in empty space is actually relatively low, without particles to radiate heat to the heat loss is far slower than one might expect--the real dangers come from there being zero pressure in space, and all the radiation. Leaving the tail exposed would not only make pressurizing the suit properly nearly impossible, it would also leave the tail exposed to cosmic rays--and rather than turn her into a superhero, they'd probably just give her radiation burns and cancer.
The whole "vacuum" thing would do her in far quicker than the radiation or the temperature, though, so that's the main concern.
Despite being at the computer with my web browser open and Google being just a click away, I'm not about to fact-check any of this though.
In summary... dress for the occasion!
