So many better things you can do with that macro lens. ;P This is a shot better suited to a nifty fifty. Good shot nonetheless. :) Only thing I must say is that the focus is very minimal, and your eye isn't drawn to it very easily. The blurred flower petals are overpowering.
The most awesome thing about that lens is it's versatility. Yes The nifty fifty would have done it pretty ok, but I don't like it's bokeh. It's better suited for portraits. In retrospect, I should have stopped up the lens a bit. You're right, there's a bit too much foreground blur. And I missed my intended point of focus a bit. But hey, sometimes I shake and this was taken free hand. :P
