Last night something made me remember something I had read in passing somewhere,.. I think it was part of an author's commentary in a Niel Gaiman book (though it could have been somewhere else):
"They used to place gargoyles on the facades of churches to act as guardians for lay within. Perhaps could a gargoyle place over my heart protect it from those who would hurt it?"
or something to that effect anyway,...
well,. i'm not sure about gargoyles,.. but we've all got our deamons, for better or worse,...
An old blinded raven that see more than he should,...
There's a long story behind all this,.. but i'm not really inclined to share it,.. so i'll leave you wondering :P

I really like this in concept and in illustration. This made me smile :)
Raidho, Kenaz, Fehu...For the journey to prosperity and knowledge...
I have a similar bindrune on one of my necklaces and plans for a tattoo, though mine has Tiewaz instead of Fehu.
I also have a spiral over my heart, matched by a bone spiral pendant that I wear or give to my current love. The norse used the spiral as a symbol for home, so it means allot to me :)
Sorry, this piece spoke to me so much I had to share ^.^;;
