It may be 3 years later, but I'll explain it anyway. XD
In the original Japanese versions of Naruto, Naruto often ends his sentences with the addendum "-ttebayo" (which achieves an effect similar to ending a sentence with "you know?"). Kishimoto wanted to give Naruto a childlike catch phrase, and "dattebayo" came to mind. Kishimoto believes the phrase complements Naruto's character, and serves as a verbal tic that portrays him as somewhat of a brat. Throughout the beginning of the English dub version, "dattebayo" and "-ttebayo" were replaced with the phrase "Believe it!", both to mirror the effect and to match the character's lip movements.

Kk I get it now... Similar to how some folk say "like" all the time or "Ya know what Im sayin" Its not really needed in the sentence but it is part of his attitude.
Honestly when you look at it that way its not aggervating at all. =3 I know plenty of people with a similar verbal tic so its an understandable addition to his charcter. He does use it less as he grows older but it is still there when he is acts childish. Also the english representation of it really is well done.
I honestly I think that as the most bothersome thing about the show for me... that and the constant fillers for the tv version (unless it invovled Guy and Rock Lee =D )

Very good. Your lightning technik is very unique you know. Those harder light points realy add some extra fell to your works.
I just tuned in this series not so long ago. It now played in my language in TV, Though it just so fucked up voices I try to download it from the net without the cuts.
