It's hard to be a micro, and as you can see here, a certain woodpecker has decided to shield one from the dangers of the outside world. Is he truly well intentioned, or just hungry?

Woodpeckers are truly a good potential pred, and not just because they are a perfect blend of beautiful and adorable, or the way they hunt, but also because of their incredible tongue. I like how this turned out in particular, and I would hop in that beak any day.
