Here's Trixie again, with the plush bunnies. The stripes belong to a large plush tiger that my partner Melissa swiped from off my bed.
Trixie was, I think, rather intrigued by all the flashing and noises, and stuck her head out to see just what was going on. But she still didn't leave her comfy place. Can you blame her?

I just worry that you'll leave one of them out sometime and something will happen.
As a child I left my little mouse out in my bedroom while I went to the bathroom. Next thing I hear is my mother screaming - she'd stepped on him and he died.
Who the hell figured that she'd take that moment to go into my room!
That's why I make friends with "wild" animals and leave it at that.
No pets for me - ever.

Oh, they're never left out unsupervised. There's just too many ways a small, inquisitive animal with sharp teeth and bad eyesight can get into trouble in our house.
I'm sorry to hear about your mouse, though. Been through something of the kind myself, long ago, though all it did was make me extra cautious when small critters are at play...
