Not all friendships last without challenges. And all friends eventually have a disagreement or two.
It was long, long ago when I told her to leave. But I never really believed she would, I don’t think. Not for so long. I think that in my attempt to prove my independence from my comrade, I wounded her… no. No, I wounded myself.
Now and again I’d feel her presence… but it seemed to be merely the wind. After all, Giarcane is a large place… and there was plenty of room for many, many dragons. How one could manage to find a small little human amongst it all is beyond me.
A friend of ours, after many years, asked me to find her. But I had tried once before… and failed. The search seemed hopeless… after all, who would ever want to return to the beast of a person I’ve become?
And yet… not soon after, I managed to spot a flash of blues and greens in the mountains that made up Giarcane’s borders. How very large it was… and I realized that as I have grown, so must have she. I looked shamefully at my feet, before lifting my head to call out… but when I did… she was gone.
So, now as I sit in the night, I wonder if it was her… or maybe it was merely a Whisper in time.
I recently got thinking of all of the dragons I drew as a kid… and when my mother dumped a bunch of my childhood schoolpapers on my table, there she was. A little dragon I called whisper. The drawing was just as crappy as ever. I remember having tried to draw her again once before… back in hichschool. I tried to age her, but merely made her look odd. I removed her ‘angel wings’ and, since I never could decide whether or not she was blue or green as a kid, I made her aqua.
What a mistake that was. :Hides;:
So, here’s a another attempt at her, after years and years. Not the best. But not too terrible either. I need to work on my composition. ::Shrugs::

First off since I am waiting for the pic to load I read the accompanying story (about the friend). I really liked it because it is similar to stories involving my characters that I have written, and alos like something I am going through right now. Dead on *Thumbs up*
