Alstraiya is descended from a breed of dragons called the Astrophel, who have adapted to living in space. He travels with them throughout the galaxy, studying other cultures and planets. He can raise or lower his core temperature to adjust to wherever he is visiting, and can breathe in a variety of atmospheres. The Astrophel often have glowing eyes or markings because of the plants and animals they eat on thier home planet, as well as solar radiation from nearby star systems.

Alstraiya enjoys listening to music and drawing, and trying new interesting foods.
