You're your own harshest critic, after all -- the audience probably can't notice all the aspects that you consider of lesser quality, or if a particular segment was hard to portray. Now, both perspectives are valid, but one tends to consider that the artist's viewpoint is more "true" since they're the one that made the piece... but the audience rarely is as hard-to-please as the artist, and it's very difficult to keep an artistic drive with overwhelming negativity. One needs a balance of appreciation and points to improve
