'...He belongssssss to ussssss!'
In the past, I've expressed my distaste of Disney's take on Kaa from 'The Jungle Book' (and the internet population of said character). Not even Scarlett Johansson's version barely had enough screentime to leave much impact. In short: I'm tired of the same-old-same-old that keeps cropping up.
It would be so nice - so very nice - to see more of Kaa as Rudyard Kipling had originally written the character - to be a mentor, a guardian; the oldest, wisest and most powerful in all of the jungle - instead of being just another niche. Something that Andy Serkis did just right in 'Mowgli: Legend of the Jungle', played beautifully by Cate Blanchett =>
I know it's very long odds, but as 2020 seems to be the year of big changes, it would be a pleasant one to see this version of Kaa being depicted more often.
