This piece was painted from a line-art I completed some time ago as a sort of variation on the King race. Since it was at the time mere exploratory experimentation I never intended to pick it up again, but felt compelled to color it out of frustration with my current major piece.

I completed the painted version in one day, which is was far faster and far easier that my usual 3-4, all due to experimentation with a new coloring technique. Apart from the new painting method I decided to paint the image using only two complementary colors: purple and yellow.

since this is a new take on my standard process, feedback is greatly appreciated.

This is a race set in a fictional world under development called Kings.
I forbade myself from uploading previous incarnations of the race due to lack of quality but maybe I can submit them into a sketches category later.
