In this game, there are multiple ways of action. FIGHT ACT ITEM and MERCY. I recommend ACT as not only you can check her stats so you can find any possible weaknesses, but you can do various actions that can help you, even resolve the situation peacefully. Toriel, Please help Frisk learn how to do combat here. They need all the help they can get. They are a human turned monster, so they are not only unfamiliar with their body, but they haven't fought in the UNDERGROUND before. They are also over their heads because they have unique abilities, but forgot that they are Level 1, so go easy on them.
