A fun drawing by the lurvely
kerothestrange of my gator Lilac. :D

I'm not sure what people think of Lilac. She's one of my characters who I have not given a belly, and honestly I think that may be to my benefit to have a wider array of characters that isn't purely in that motherhood phase. Am I saying she won't be preggy ever? I mean, never say never, but for now I think she's fine being a big gator in a small world. She just needs more recognition is all...maybe she needs to be compared to others for a real size difference XD

Lilac scrolled through the playlist pensively. It was a great day outside, and she needed something to bring it all together. The sun was bright, the breeze was soothing, and the air felt fresh against her scales. Standing outside her apartment complex, the gator was ready for the long jog through town, but without the right soundtrack, it was not going to be a ten-out-of-ten morning. Her eyes darted up and down the list of songs, some of which she fancied but felt disconnected with the morning air.
Then she found it. It was not a song that many knew, nor was it on her top twenty list. It was, however, the song that felt radiant and sincere for the moment. Lilac smiled and hit play, and within a second of the first smooth chord, the gator began her stride.
The song began to entice its audience of one, the hearty bass chords moving back and forth in her mind. Lilac’s hips began to sway wider than her usual gait, and her thick tail snaked behind her in earnest. More instruments joined into the melody, as did the wind against her scaled cheeks. The gator’s eyes nearly closed as she became increasingly entranced by the music, and she was oblivious that her tail nearly clothelined a passer-by. If she had, the gator would surely have a good alibi; the music was just too good to not let loose.
Compared with the others on the sidewalk, though, Lilac had reason not to let loose too hard. The gator stood tall among the other people nearby, though some got close to reaching her height in some way. Being over nine-feet tall made her easy to spot, but it also made her very self-conscious - that is, when she wasn’t listening to the best tune her personal soundtrack could muster. Left to her emotional self-sustaining escapade, the gator lifted her arms and gently shimmied her back while her hips retained their metronome-like sway. The tune’s bassline became a hypnotic flow, back and forth, and as a couple background singers jumped in, the gator started to hum along with them.
A short husky tapped his foot lazily where he stood at the crosswalk. His cap was askew, and his jacket dirty. He had quite the morning, albeit not in a good way. His car broke down, and his boss gave him a rant he would rather hear on morning radio. If it wasn’t bad enough, he heard that someone was trying to use his bank account to buy a jetski. He was on his way to the bank to settle the issue altogether. It was there that he spotted someone dancing toward him - a looming alligator with a lavender hoodie (that was certainly too small for her body), a pair of torn up jeans, and a positive energy fueled by her pink headphones. His ears perked up when he realized that said alligator had also just closed her eyes, the groove too strong, and she was hastily approaching his spot at the crosswalk.
The song had just hit the final chorus, and the background rose with a new crescendo. The warm sun and the cool breeze joined in with Lilac’s joyful dancing, and she could feel the music wrapping around her like nobody had before. She was entranced, bounding forward as she closed her eyes. She knew the crosswalk was nearby, so there was no issue taking just a short moment to take it all in.
Nothing could possibly disrupt her groove's coda.
